Service Description
Overview If you conceal a pistol on a daily basis, this course will solidify your confidence and abilities if you are ever in a situation where you need to draw your firearm. This 1 day course will cover the essential physical and mental aspects of concealed carry firearms and run you though realistic scenarios. Upon completion of Defensive Concealed Pistol, students will be able to perform with their firearm under stress in the real world. Experience Requirements Pistol 1 or an approved equivalent course is required to participate in Defensive Concealed Pistol. Pistol 2 is recommended but not required. Course Outline - Review of Gun Safety and Shooting Fundamentals - Legal Basics - A review of Texas Law Drawing from concealment Combat accuracy - Techniques to accelerate target acquisition and follow up shots - Combat reloads Shooting on the move Engaging Multiple targets Use of Cover and Concealment - Recoil Management - Dicken’s Drill Equipment List Required - Semi-Automatic Handgun (Center fire pistols only - no revolvers or .22 caliber pistols allowed) - 2 15+ capacity magazines or 3 7-10 capacity magazines (Minimum) - Sturdy Belt - Kydex Holster - Magazine Holster - Eye and Ear protection Weather-appropriate clothing for active participation Garments capable of concealing a firearm Recommended - Sunscreen / Bugspray - Hat / Sunglasses - Snacks - Weapon Maintenance Kit - Note Taking Material Ammunition 500 rounds of Handgun ammunition is required to complete this course Discounts The following discounts can be assessed after contacting info@ivoryacademytraining.com. Classes will be held rain or shine as much as possible. Once booked, there will be no refunds or cancellations offered as the spot in the class was removed for your participation. If the class must be cancelled for an act of God, it will be rescheduled. Anyone who cannot make the rescheduled date will receive a credit for a different date / class of their choice.
