Service Description

Overview Improve your firearms skills with our foundational Pistol 1 training course. In this 1 day training, you’ll learn the essential skills and techniques to handle and shoot a pistol with confidence. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build upon your existing skills, Pistol 1 is designed to meet your needs and take your abilities to the next level. Experience Requirements No previous training experience is required. Course Outline - Review of Gun Safety and Shooting Fundamentals - Shooting basics - the importance of proper grip, sight alignment, sight picture, stance, trigger control, and follow through - Compressed Ready - Reloads and Malfunctions - Presentation of the handgun from the holster to the target and safe recovery back to the holster - Administrative and in-service loading and unloading techniques - Static shooting positions - Recoil Management - Cleaning and maintenance Equipment List Required - Semi-Automatic Handgun (Center fire pistols only - no revolvers or .22 caliber pistols allowed) - 2 15+ capacity magazines or 3 7-10 capacity magazines - Sturdy Belt - Kydex Holster - Magazine Holster - Eye and Ear protection - Weather-appropriate clothing for active participation Recommended - Sunscreen / Bugspray - Hat / Sunglasses - Snacks - Weapon Maintenance Kit - Note Taking Material Ammunition 500 rounds of Handgun ammunition is required to complete this course Discounts The following discounts can be assessed after contacting info@ivoryacademytraining.com.
