Overview Improve your firearms skills with our foundational Rifle 1 training course. In this 1 day training, you’ll learn the essential skills and techniques to handle and shoot a rifle with confidence. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build upon your existing skills, Rifle 1 is designed to meet your needs and take your abilities to the next level. Experience Requirements No previous training experience is required. Course Outline - Review of Gun Safety and Shooting Fundamentals - Shooting basics - the importance of proper grip, sight alignment, sight picture, stance, trigger control, and follow through - Low vs High Ready - Reloads and Malfunctions - Administrative and in-service loading and unloading techniques - Static shooting positions - Recoil Management - Cleaning and maintenance Equipment List Required - Semi-Automatic Rifle (Center fire rifles only - no .22 caliber rifles allowed) - 2 30 round capacity magazines Sling Aiming method already zero’d - Magazine Holster - Eye and Ear protection - Weather-appropriate clothing for active participation Recommended - Sunscreen / Bugspray - Hat / Sunglasses - Snacks - Weapon Maintenance Kit - Note Taking Material Ammunition 500 rounds of Rifle ammunition is required to complete this course Discounts The following discounts can be assessed after contacting info@ivoryacademytraining.com.
